WWW Wednesday: July 9th, 2025

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme that Sam hosts at Taking on a World of Words.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

Here is what I am reading, recently finished, and plan to read from Thursday to Wednesday.

Let me know if you have read or are planning on reading any of these books!!

Happy Reading!

What I am currently reading:

As Ever struggles with the possible consequences of her actions, she works to keep her crew safe in the middle of a political minefield. Determined to keep her promises, Ever enlists the help of an unlikely ally, and together they expose secrets and avenge wrongdoings long overdue for justice.

Ever knows that she and Dare are meant to be together, even if the odds are against them and it’s destined to break her heart. But questions are piling up faster than she can answer them, and time is running out to make a decision that could change her life forever.

Letting go of the past and embracing the future has never been so hard, but when it comes to keeping her family safe, Ever will do what’s needed, no matter the cost.

She’s found answers, and she’s taken risks, but will Ever’s sacrifices be enough to save them all?

What I recently finished reading:

Now that the threat to Ever is imprisoned and gone for good, she can focus on what really matters: getting rid of the goblins living in her house as “protection” and getting back to work capturing rogue Fae for the Magical Enforcement and Containment Agency. Too bad fate doesn’t agree with her plans.

Ever’s mother is still missing, and Ever and her crew must find an ancient race long believed dead. As questions pile up and danger creeps closer, Ever can no longer deny the pull Dare has over her heart. And her body. As they forge a new bond, betrayal strikes, and it’s closer to home than either of them could have imagined.

Trouble stirs. Alliances fall. The only thing that binds them together is the trust they’ve put in each other and the emotions Ever refuses to name. Everything starts to crumble, and those Ever protects are no longer free from danger. Will she keep those she holds dear safe? Or will she be left to pick up the pieces?

What I plan on reading Thursday through Sunday:

After the shock of a lifetime and more deals brokered than is probably wise, Ever is readier than ever for a little R&R. Snow covers the grounds of the Goblin Kingdom and Yule is just around the corner, along with more surprises than Ever could have anticipated.

Between organizing everyone in the castle, wrapping presents, working to thwart any attacks from the Order, and eating as many cookies as possible, Ever and Dare are hard at work making decisions that will impact not only them but others for a lifetime.

Join in the revelry as Ever and Dare celebrate their first Christmas together with both of their families coming together as one.

Spoiler Alert: This is a holiday-themed short that takes place after Throne of Secrets and is not meant to be read prior to reading books one through three in the Wicked Kingdoms series.

Ever McElva is only sure of one thing. She’s ready to bring these babies into the world and end the threat coming at her from both sides.

As soon as one problem ends, another pops up and Ever can only trust her crew and her mate, Dare Fitzpatrick to keep her safe through this storm. With Doyle comatose, Arela running around with her new found Druid boy that’s a friend, Ever is struggling to keep up with it all as a new mother.

Just when she thinks she’s got a handle on everything being thrown at her, an ally turns into a foe, and it strikes closer to home than she could have imagined. Will Ever come out on top after facing her growing number of enemies? Or will everything turn out to be an illusion meant to deter her from the real threat that lurks in the dark?

Note: This is the final book for Ever and Dare. This series will continue with side characters getting their own stories.

I fell in love with a girl ten years ago.

The term whirlwind doesn’t even begin to describe it.
One moment it was lingering stares and stolen smiles.
The next… it was a white dress and the honeymoon suite.

But it didn’t last. Annulled after twenty-three days. Your typical Las Vegas mistake.
I moved on, I focused on work, but my heart never stopped beating for her.

For Jennifer Parker. My Jenny.

Ten years later and she’s come home for her little sister’s wedding.
She’s staying here — at my family’s hotel. Drinking at my bar. Using my fancy towels.

Staying in my room. Moaning my name…

Just one night, we agreed.
One night to give us the closure we never got before.
But just a touch of her ivory skin… and I’m hers all over again.

I fell in love with a girl ten years ago.
And I’m going to give her one night in Las Vegas she’ll never forget.

I’ve been a lot of things.
A brother. An athlete. A sex god.
A fake boyfriend? That’s a new one.

I’ve never seen her before in my life.

There I was, minding my own business at the hotel bar,
when she walked up and asked me to pretend to be her boyfriend.

She’d introduce me to her overbearing parents. I’d fawn over her for a few minutes, plant a goodbye kiss on her cheek, and walk away with an extra twenty dollars in my pocket. Seemed simple enough.
But she had no idea the random guy she tapped on the shoulder was one of the wealthiest men on the planet.

I’m a man who gets what he wants and I made up my mind the second I saw those curves.

It was supposed to be just a kiss.
Now I want more. And I won’t stop until she’s mine.

It’s Monday: What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet and share what you have been and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organize yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit, comment, and add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at The Book Date.

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kid-lit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle-grade novels, young adult novels, or anything in those genres – join them.

What I am Reading Now

Ever Leath, leader of the deadliest crew within the Magical Enforcement and Containment Agency’s ranks, has always known she’s a half-breed—until a visit from her estranged mother changes everything. She’s determined to marry Ever off for political gain, no matter the consequences—even if it means Ever’s life.

Searching for the truth leads to disturbing doubts about Ever’s heritage, and just as answers appear, so does Dare Fitzpatrick. Captain of the Royal Goblin Guards and son to the current Goblin King, he claims he knows who Ever’s real father is and that she could be in danger. Ever doubts Dare, until he helps her escape the clutches of her would-be suitor and grants her shelter within the Goblin Kingdom.

Staying in Goblin, which has previously been off-limits to half-breeds, is a risk Ever has to take to keep everyone she loves safe. Neither of them planned on the fiery heat between them, but Dare won’t take no for an answer. Ever knows she can’t risk losing her heart to the cocky goblin, despite her attraction to him. At least that’s the plan.

Until it all falls apart.
