WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

Here is what I am reading, what I recently finished, and what I plan to read from Thursday to Wednesday.

Let me know if you have read or plan to read any of these books!!

What I am currently reading:

LAPD Detective Kate Sexton and her canine partner Bernie are back, along with hard-headed FBI agent Joe Dawson, in Hollywood Intrigue, the ninth book in the Hollywood Alphabet Series Thrillers.

It’s a new year and a new start for Detective Kate Sexton. Kate’s just moved into new digs, she’s adjusting to life in LAPD’s elite homicide unit, Section One, and she’s moved on from her past relationship troubles. But all that suddenly changes when Kate and her partner, Ted Grady, get called to the scene of one of the most horrifying homicides they’ve ever worked. What follows is a string of killings that’s bizarre, even by Hollywood standards. As they work the crime scenes and chase after a killer called The Prophet, Kate realizes he’s taken a personal interest in her.

Throw in Kate’s meddling best friends and private investigators, Natalie and Mo, and a hard-boiled, trash talking FBI agent she’s worked with before named Joe Dawson, and you’ve got all the ingredients for another wild and crazy ride through the streets of Hollywood.

What I recently finished reading:

Hollywood Homicide, the eighth book in the funny, crazy, wild lives of Detective Kate Sexton and her canine partner, Bernie, opens with Kate’s career taking a new turn when she’s assigned to LAPD’s new homicide unit, Section One. Kate soon realizes that Section One cases are the highest profile and most difficult homicides in the department. After teaming with her new partner, Ted Grady, Kate responds to a horrific crime scene where she finds the body of Hollywood Starlet, Scarlett Endicott.

All signs point to a Hollywood fixer, Pearce Landon, having been at work trying to clean the crime scene before leaving in a hurry when the police were called. Kate isn’t convinced of Landon’s involvement and sets out to find Scarlett’s real killer, at the same time the fixer tries to prove his own innocence. As Kate tries to deal with a difficult new boss and find the emotional strength to deal with her past relationships, she and Ted have to deal with some of Hollywood’s elite power brokers, a psychiatrist known as the “shrink to the stars,” and a hired killer.

Throw in Kate’s meddling best friends, Natalie and Mo, and a past homicide that becomes a suddenly hot cold case, and you’ve got all the ingredients for another great ride through the streets of Hollywood.

Join Kate as she tries to put her personal life back in order, at the same time she tries to solve one of the most difficult crimes she’s ever encountered. Hollywood Homicide explodes with all the thrills, twists, and turns that have made the Hollywood Alphabet Series an instant success.

What I plan on reading Thursday through Sunday:

Hollywood Jury, the tenth book in the Hollywood Alphabet Series Thrillers, finds Detective Kate Sexton and her canine partner Bernie continuing their assignment in Section One, an elite homicide unit that works out of Hollywood Station.

Kate’s job quickly becomes more stressful than she could ever imagine when a deranged serial killer begins a murderous spree on college campuses. While Kate pursues the killer, she agrees to work part-time with a Hollywood fixer named Pearce Landon who believes an innocent man is on death row, facing execution for a crime he didn’t commit. Things become even more complicated when Kate’s new partner begins to unravel, her love life is in shambles, and she learns a truth about her deceased father that no one, including Kate, ever imagined.

Throw in Kate’s meddling best friends and private investigators/wannabe actors, Natalie and Mo, who are convinced their acting abilities will make them superstars, Kate’s former partner Charlie Winkler who comes out of retirement looking for love, and Kate’s duties as maid of honor for the Hollywood wedding of the century, and you’ve got all the ingredients for another wild ride through the streets of Hollywood.

If you’re looking for suspense, romance, and a thriller with more laughs than a night at a Hollywood comedy club, grab your copy of the tenth book in a laugh-out-loud mystery series that continues to both shock and delight.

Just when LAPD Detective Kate Sexton thinks maybe she’s finally found the man of her dreams, she gets a call that will turn her world upside down. Kate learns that the family of the high-profile host of the TV show Hollywood Nation has been murdered. What follows is an investigation that takes Kate, her canine partner Bernie, and the other members of LAPD’s elite Section One homicide unit into the dark side of Hollywood’s erotic underworld.

Things turn crazy when the bodies begin piling up and Kate’s meddling best friends, Natalie and Mo, insert themselves into the case. What follows is a tangled web of sex, love, lust, and obsession as Kate tries to solve the murders, sort out her love life, and at the same time deal with a dark family secret that has haunted her life.

Hollywood Lust, the twelfth book in the Hollywood Alphabet Thriller Series, is a high-octane thrill ride that’s three mysteries rolled into one.

While Kate tries to untangle a deep mystery that’s at the center of her family life, she and her canine partner Bernie work with cold case Detective Leo Kingsley to try and solve a ten-year-old murder that’s tied to the current homicide of a young woman. In the meantime, one of the most difficult and high-profile cases Kate’s ever worked resurfaces when a radicalized group of terrorists known as The Swarm begins a killing spree. It’s a race against time as Kate and FBI agent Joe Dawson try to stop the serial killings, at the same time she tries to solve the decade old murder case.

In the meantime, Kate’s love life begins to heat up, while her meddling best friends Natalie and Mo insert themselves into her personal life, at the same time they try to unravel what might be one of the biggest murder mysteries in Hollywood history.

Hollywood Lust is a high-wire thrill ride, a page-turner with all the great elements and returning characters that have made other books in this mystery series wildly popular.

Hollywood Murder, book thirteen in the Hollywood Alphabet Thriller Series, finds tough but vulnerable LAPD homicide detective Kate Sexton and her canine partner Bernie in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods of Beverly Hills. The family of a billionaire investment broker has gone missing after their maid is savagely murdered. All signs point to the case being a kidnap for ransom, but as Kate investigates, the crime takes on added dimensions when suspicions arise that a serial killer with ties to the missing family may be at work.

Meanwhile, Kate and her new partner, Leo Kingsley, try to unravel a cold case at the request of a nine-year-old girl whose parents were savagely murdered. Add in a TV documentary crew that the department has allowed to follow their every move, and a reporter who will stop at nothing to get her story, and a seemingly unsolvable case only gets more complicated.

Kate’s personal life also takes on added complications when she follows clues that tie the death of the man who raised her to the possible murder of one of the most high profile actresses in Hollywood history. Meanwhile, her best friends Natalie and Mo complicate matters by inserting themselves in both her cases and her life.

Hollywood Murder continues the tradition of a crime thriller series that has a female protagonist with both heart and humor. Like all the other books in the series, Hollywood Murder is a tale of intrigue, deception, and murder, with a cast of outrageous characters that has made this series an instant success!
