What I am Reading Now
With the Paras relocating to numerous nuclear bases around the U.S., Will Reisner and Doctor Selene Munroe are in a race against time to complete the new bioweapon and employ it against the growing legions of mutant creatures bent on exterminating the human race. Little do Reisner and his team of elite operators know that this battle is only the beginning as the emerging leader among the Paras has a broader plan for invasion that will put all of the country’s remaining military units in the crosshairs.
What I plan to read Tuesday and Wednesday:
After the grueling battle at MacDill AFB, Reisner and his elite team of operators are on the hunt for the super-alpha known as Roland. With all eyes focused on the Southeastern U.S., Reisner and Selene string together a series of puzzling intel that will enable the military to zero in on the creature and deliver a crippling blow to the Paras worldwide. Unknown to all of them is Roland’s plan to increase his alphas in a macabre undertaking that will further twist the laws of nature and unleash creatures even more terrifying than anyone can imagine.
With Will Reisner recovering from his near-death encounter with Roland while battling his own demons, the remaining elements of the U.S. fleet in the Gulf are undertaking last-ditch efforts to secure the remaining fuel supply for their vessels amidst growing hordes of Paras along every seaside port. Unknown to them all is the presence of a new, hybrid alpha living in their midsts and watching their every move.
Doctor Selene Munroe is heading to a new facility in the Bahamas to continue large-scale development of the bioweapon when she learns of a potential method for eliminating the alphas, leading General Dorr to consider crossing a line that he never imagined possible.
With Nick’s powers increasing daily and exceeding Roland’s, the ambitious, young super-alpha lays out his plans to strike a devastating blow against the humans that could alter the course of the war and forever change the future of mankind.
